Statement in reply – explanatory statement

The Registry gives notice of the statement in response to the applicant. The applicant then has thirty days to send a statement in reply. This statement should include all the applicant’s arguments. If the opposing party has not lodged a statement in response, the applicant will nonetheless be asked to lodge an explanatory statement which, like the statement in reply, should summarize the applicant’s arguments. If no statement in reply or explanatory statement has been lodged within the prescribed period of time, the applicant shall be deemed to have no longer the required interest and his appeal will be rejected.
