Intervention


An action for annulment can challenge an act which benefits one or more persons.

Examples :
  • you were delivered a building permit  by the administrative authorities
  • you were promoted as a civil servant to a specific grade

Therefore, the beneficiaries of the contested acts and any person who establishes an interest in the case have the possibility to intervene in these cases.  
On the basis of the indications of a member from the Auditors' Office appointed to report, the Chief Registrar serves  the application for annulment on the interested parties insofar as they may be determined. If these parties deem it appropriate, they have 30 days to send an application to intervene by registered mail to the Council of State's Registry
